He’d apparently lunged at a keeper and was in the boat and coaxing him out was quite a job but (George chuckles) Crowcroft had allowed the press to be in the building. There were about 500 people in the building. And if Ziggy had turned the wrong way, then it would’ve been a disaster. And I was in charge. That was a tense moment, I must say, until a keeper came up with the solution of making an appropriate noise such as the female elephants make and inducing Ziggy to turn the right way.
