And so they worked out a deal where I went into the Department of Preventive Medicine at the Veterinary School as a master’s candidate and taught the seniors part-time exotic animal medicine course and was the full-time veterinarian at the Columbus Zoo. And then at the same time, few months after I became veterinarian at the Columbus Zoo, the mammals curator left and they asked me to take over and be the mammals curator as well as the veterinarian. And so I did that and I enjoyed it. And that was one of those rare instances in a zoo where there was never any controversy between the mammals curator and the veterinarian, because they were one and the same.
